As my film is a thriller and classified at an age of 15, only people above this age will be able to watch my film. Most thrillers age classification is very similar; so my audience will be of the same calibre. Most frequent cinema goers are between the ages of 15 to 24, so I will be aiming to impress this age range specifically. I will be doing this as if my film were to be at a box office, this age range would be important for me to impress because they would be were I could make my profit. I also want to interest this audience as I believe my film is more suited to a young audience, a reason why I think this is I am using a young actress for the film.
As my film is a psychological thriller, I have research a similar product 'Single white female' by doing this I can asses the reviews this film received and change or add to my film depending on these to impress my potential audience.

The climax is a long time coming, and you can't help feeling that the adaptation would work better as a play.
As my film is short I will avoid this longing for it to end, but still keep my audience in suspense.

Great suspense thriller. I will have many suspense moments in the film to keep audiences interested and on the edge of there seats.
By reading reviews about 'Single White Female' I can establish what audiences appreciated about that movie and incorporate the same in to my film. As well as this I can read the dislikes about 'Single White Female' and try to make it appreciated in my film or not use it at all.
The bbfc, British board of film classification is an independent, non-government body who have classified films since 1912.
Classifications are based on the criteria of the film, if the film contains no material likely to offend it will be classed as U movie. Films that are usually classed U most likely are aimed at children, such as animated films. (Alvin and the chipmunks)
PG are films are allowed the following without becoming a 12 classification: have mild language, sex references, mild innuendo, violence and scenes of smoking; these films are usually aimed at children of the age 8 and above. (Romeo and Juliet)
12A films can contain moderate violence, some strong language, moderate sex references, violence, suicide scenes and moderate injury detail, drug references, nudity, intense battle scenes, child murder theme, and disturbing scenes. (Avatar)
15 Can consist of some strong language, strong violence, sex references, drug use, scenes of torture theatrical sexualized nudity. (The book of Eli)
18 films can contain incest theme and infrequent real sex, very strong language, strong violence and threat, hard drug use, crude sex references and nudity, ( The disappearance of Alice Creed)
My film will be certificate 12A or 15, my film will be following the criteria for a thriller and so have the same type classification. My film will be either of these certificates as they are suitable to the material that will be used in my film. Like other Thrillers it will be this kind of certificate as the material that will be in the film could be disturbing or even offensive to any younger audience. The material is threatening theme, and people from the age of twelve is the youngest audience I am aiming for. The audience I am aiming for is 12 to 25, I believe this age range will be most suitable for my film.
